SAPRA and Theon Sensors have taken a significant step in expanding their partnership, reinforcing their commitment to technological innovation and industry growth. During a high-level meeting in Athens, Greece, SAPRA Chairman Edgars Zandmanis and Head of Communication Department Ani Andronikashvili met with Theon Sensors' leadership to explore new opportunities for cooperation and discuss the future of high-tech industry development.

SAPRA welcomes the strategic initiative introduced by Prime Minister Evika Siliņa to strengthen Latvia’s defense industry. The development of local production is a crucial step towards enhancing national security, fostering innovation, and increasing Latvia’s global competitiveness in the defense sector.

To achieve this, the country needs a consistent policy that promotes sector development and creates favorable conditions for investment.

Latvia is taking a significant step forward in the defense industry – Baltic Photonics, in collaboration with international partners, is making a major investment in the creation of a new factory.
This initiative will not only strengthen the country's defense capabilities but also create new jobs and promote technological development in the Baltic region.

A significant meeting has taken place in Riga between representatives of the University of Latvia and the International Association of Defense Production Manufacturers (SAPRA).

SAPRA, in collaboration with Baltic Photonics, had the distinct honor of welcoming Nicolas Lepage, Counsellor (Commercial Affairs) at the Embassy of Canada for Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia. 

On November 14, 2024, the International Association of Defense Product Manufacturers (SAPRA) was officially established in Riga. Bringing together global defense experts and companies, SAPRA aims to unite the photonics and optics industries, promote innovation, and strengthen security on NATO's eastern flank.
