SAPRA - the International Association of Defence Product Manufacturers - participated in the Latvia–Estonia Business Forum "Stronger Together", held in Tallinn as part of the State Visit of the President of Latvia to Estonia.
The forum brought together representatives of government institutions, defence industry companies, technology developers and business organisations from Latvia and Estonia to strengthen regional cooperation in defence, dual-use technologies and high value-added industries.
The programme included the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministries of Economics of Latvia and Estonia on cooperation in supply security and strategic state reserves, highlighting the growing importance of coordinated regional resilience and economic security.
Discussions focused on defence procurement, innovation, industrial cooperation and the development of technologies that contribute to strengthening regional security and competitiveness. Particular attention was given to cooperation between public institutions, industry and innovation ecosystems across the Baltic region.
The event also featured addresses by the Presidents of Latvia and Estonia, Edgars Rinkēvičs and Alar Karis, together with representatives of both governments and the defence sector.
SAPRA continues to support international cooperation and dialogue that strengthen partnerships between industry, public institutions and allied countries while contributing to the long-term development of the defence industry across the Baltic region.
