SAPRA - the International Association of Defence Product Manufacturers - participated in the Latvia - Ukraine Security and Defence Industry Cooperation Forum, which brought together industry and public sector stakeholders to advance dialogue on cooperation between the Latvian and Ukrainian security and defence industries.
The forum was held as a full-day event and included a conference programme alongside a parallel industry exhibition, where companies from Latvia and Ukraine presented their products and solutions. The forum ensured structured discussions, facilitated experience exchange, and supported the identification of concrete areas for cooperation.
Discussions addressed a range of key topics, including industry challenges and transformation in wartime conditions, industrial and cyber security, as well as practical lessons learned from Ukraine’s defence industry experience. Additional focus was placed on the formation of consortia to support Ukraine’s priority needs, state support instruments for industry in Latvia, and European Union financial support mechanisms for Ukraine.
The forum continued the ongoing dialogue between Latvian and Ukrainian defence industry stakeholders, contributing to the development of long-term partnerships, increased industrial resilience, and the strengthening of the regional security and defence ecosystem.
