Share

SAPRA - the International Association of Defence Product Manufacturers - met with Mihaela Mocanu, Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to the Republic of Latvia, to discuss the development of the defence industry and opportunities for strengthening cooperation between industry, public institutions and international partners.

A central topic of the meeting was SAPRA’s experience in developing an industry platform that brings together defence technology companies and facilitates dialogue with public institutions, research organisations and international partners.

The discussion explored how this experience and approach could provide relevant insights for the continued development of Moldova’s defence industry ecosystem, including stronger coordination between industry stakeholders and the creation of new international connections.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to present SAPRA’s activities, its approach to supporting defence industry companies and its work in strengthening cooperation across the Baltic region and with partners internationally.

For emerging defence technology ecosystems, close interaction between industry, government, research and international partners can play an important role in creating the conditions for sustainable industrial development, innovation and international cooperation.

SAPRA continues to expand dialogue with diplomatic representatives and international partners, sharing experience and supporting stronger connections between defence industries across Europe.
